REHEARSALS

Rehearsals will be held on Mondays from 3:30-6pm in American Fork at the TAF Arts Center (53 W. Main).

Timpanogos Arts Foundation is proud to announce we are the new home of the Vivace Youth Orchestras. Finally, there is a family-friendly orchestra program for students (ages 8-19) that is not only excellent in quality, but is affordable.

With two orchestras, three planned concerts each year, and more amazing music that will challenge and delight your young musicians, we hope you’ll come join us.

If you enjoyed our summer camp with our guest conductor Ryan Murphy, or if you’re just looking for a family friendly, affordable orchestral experience for your string musicians, come be a part of our concert season orchestra!.

We’re also planning another successful summer camp with our guest conductor Ryan Murphy returning to kick-off our next season!

ABOUT US

We know a thing or two about nurturing young artists. Vivace Orchestra is in its fifth year running and is led by award winning Artistic Director Denise Willey. Mrs. Willey was the founder of the Lyceum Orchestra Program in 1987, and the Lyceum Music Festival Youth in 2014. Under her direction, the LMFY received Best In State recognition in 2018.

Mrs. Willey has directed thousands of young musicians from across the country at the Lyceum Music Festival-Youth and Mountains & Strings camps, the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute, and in school and after-school orchestra programs. She is known for transforming groups of musicians into stunning orchestral performers. One of her great passions in life is  symphonic and chamber orchestra music, and sharing and fostering that love with the students she teaches.

“I was so impressed by how quickly the musicians came together, blended and sounded like they had been playing music together for a long long time. I extend a hearty congratulations to the vision, the organizers, the faculty of the Vivace Orchestra Team, guest artists, and the wonderful music produced. Just one step short of magic!”

Bryce King, parent

“I saw the Vivace Orchestra Camp in action during the summer of 2019 and was delighted with what I experienced. I was especially impressed with the instrumental staff–their considerable musical expertise was in full evidence, along with a sincere care for and rapport with the students. “
